Michael Bennett is on the field way too much given his foot injury.

Gutted Shead didn’t get any snaps, hopefully next week.

How did our cast off Maxwell do?

I think he had a solid game.
By that list, he played almost every snap. He got beat once or twice, but never for huge gains. He also had a game changing forced fumble.

^^^ link adds special teams snap counts.

It bears mentioning that Maxwell was not a cast off but rather a cap casualty.

I thought they wanted him to stay, but he left for more money?

IAE, it's nice to have him back. Would be nice to sign him long term.

Michael Bennett played 92% of the defensive snaps. Quinton Jefferson played 0.

By way of clarification, Quinton Jefferson was inactive for the Christmas Eve Dallas game.

That's right. Philly out bid Seattle for Maxwell's services.

Resigning Maxwell could be aided by a system corner label. Although, that would invite consideration from similar defenses such as the 49ers.

IIRC there are those also interested in looking at converting Maxwell into a safety.

Looks like Seattle's nickle defense dominated as the most frequently used personnel group.

It appears that 4-2-5 look is going to be around for a while. The defensive backfield delivered both rush pressure and coverage pressure on the QB. Their performance was a pleasure to watch.

That PI call Maxwell had definitely wasn't PI looking at it in slowmo. He was looking for the ball anever grabbed the the receiver.

In real time it did look legit though.

I think he did well and I would be fine resigning him if the dollars worked out. Having shead, Maxie and Shaq would be a good stable of corners.

This way, we could trade Sherman if it became necessary for cap implications and still be fine
