I could have sworn I saw him mouth ‘unbelievable’ when Walsh missed.

He is just a super conservative coach by nature. He def didn’t want to lose, but he himself did not give the team a great chance to win.

I think he wanted Walsh to win it......confidence boost etc.......

I don't think they wanted to lose but I think they knew what happened and no reason to risk someone getting hurt going into next season, kicker should make most of those but not our kicker this season.

This conservative strategy is why the Seahawks lost a lot of games.

If Pete wanted to win he shouldn’t have settled on a shirt FG and kept trying to toss it not, run run run FG attempt.

I might think that is a possibility if I had stopped watching the Seahawks the last few years. Since I am an idiot fan and have continued to watch this coaching staff waste talent and what should have been a dynasty, I am forced to think that this was nothing more than Pete being Pete.

Totally agree! Hated the strategy, just what I thought he was doing......... if he hits it, they may have considered re-signing him....now, don't see how they can even give it a thought

That loss and the missed FG happened on 1st down 2nd down and 3rd down. It looked like a win until the coaches decided they would just milk the clock and kick a 48 yard FG...

Pete did not lose on purpose and Walsh will not be back guaranteed.

NO, he didn't want to lose. That's silly.

He just isn't at the top of his game coaching-wise and hasn't been for some time.

The team is older, beat up, and the in-fighting unusually high even by Seahawk standards.

Offense continues to suck. Defense shows flashes but too hurt/tired to be more consistent.

It's exactly what it was warned it would be last season.

Time to rebuild...
