Not surprised, I said the same thing in a similar post, this is a youngs mans game and his age is beginning to show.

Be interesting to see how he pans out.

He doesn't know what the FO will do with him. He had a hard, injury-plagued season and is fresh off another disappointing loss.

With the way his contract is structured, it makes sense to keep Bennett for another year.

About $3 million. Try to find a rusher of his caliber for $3 million, LOL.

I blame a lot of his problems on coaching. No way a player his age with plantar fasciitis should be play 80-90% of snaps, which is what I typically saw when looking at snap counts.

His snaps should have been limited to possibly make him more effective on the fewer snaps he should have received. As hawnation2017 noted, he will probably be here next year due to contract structure. If he's limited to rotational play (20-40%) I'd bet he looks better next year.

I would bet that if Avril never went out, MB would have been out for several weeks

This would be the least surprising move of the off season

Only way he isn't here is if he retires...... Little cost savings in cutting him. Re-signing Dion Jordan would help keep his snaps down= better production.

Michael Bennett has a history of soliciting empathy and sympathy for himself. I wouldn't put a whole lot of weight on his post game comment after losing the season finale.

Jordan actually filled out and played up to his potential. He needs to be kept.

Anyway, Bennett has had a tough season. An ugly ordeal, a lot of ugliness on social media (see your post and much worse), and playing nearly every snap in the trenches with serious injuries.

But he's likely to be back next season.
