Unbelievable this team won 9 games with how truly terrible the offense was for at least half of every game. First quarter drives are typically scripted and this just proves the lack of preparation is awful.

So they had like the 40th best 1st qtr offense in a 32 team league. Outstanding.

1st down, incomplete pass.....
2nd down, draw play
puke.......

3rd and long - russell runs around after every WR is 40 yards downfield easily covered and gets 2 yards.

Punt.

You missed the holding call. Once we're at x & 20, it's over in the first quarter.

Penalties!

Seattle had *40 offensive/defensive penalties called on them in the first quarter alone. The rest of the league average is *19.5 in the first quarter.

*Excluding ST penalties as they are not usually drive killers or extenders.

The Seahawks had a total of 90 penalties called against them in the first-half alone. The Carolina Panthers had 85 penalties called against them, TOTAL. In the second-half of games the Seahawks were still slightly above the league average, but at least acceptable. The absurd number of first-half penalties negatively impacted us on field position, time of possession and points scored in almost every game. Whatever the reason for the early penalties, Pete needs to call it out and fix it.
