Mahler also reports that the team will make a change at quarterbacks coach with Carl Smith leaving the team, so it looks like there will be a good deal of turnover on the Seattle sideline this offseason.

Wow, this has been one crazy day so far. If they fire Cable, I'm having a beer or 3

To go along with the ones you said you're having for the Bevell fire?

Stay safe tonight Soulfish ;) :D

Honestly no one should be excited by this move specifically. Carl Smith had an amazing relationship with Russell, and he's largely responsible for his growth. I hope the new QB coach can build that kind of bond with Russell while also being tough

I'm super excited. Russ needs a new voice in his ear. Tater seems like a nice guy but the dude is ancient.

Jim Zorn?

Now THAT is an interesting idea.
It seemed like Zorn had some good coaching moments with the 'Skins but somehow didn't have the staying power.
The Pete Carroll school of coaching could be a great match with Zorn.

But Zorn was in the dysfunctional Dan Snyder machine. A truly broken organization.
