As you post your celebratory memes, keep in mind that hardworking Seahawks coaches are able to see what you're writing, and that doubling down and being a "tough, gotta earn your pay" hardass doesn't make it any less so. If you've never been on the field yourself...

It's part of the job. When you make over a million dollars per year as a football coach, getting fired is part of the occupational risk.

Yeah I get it. Thought it was fitting to repost what Montana had posted at the beginning of the year in relation to Kearse getting traded, considering his response here.

This is actually worse than the Kearse trade, he still had a job. These ass hats don't.

I don't care either way, just callin out the double standard.

I wonder, given the timing, how much Green Bay's flirtation with Schneider played into any of this. There's no way a super-smart football guy like him wouldn't want change. The kinetic action in his draft movement, player trading, and free-agent signings will tell you how comfortable he is with change. He could have used Green Bay's overture as leverage.

Here’s to a new outlook on offense and the start of a new era! Go Hawks!

  • This, IMO is MUCH bigger than the Bevell firing. Our offensive line has been atrociously subpar. The one thing I've been hoping for was a complete change in our O-line philosophy. I just hope whomever we bring on board can get the talent we need to protect our qb and create some running lanes. If we can do these two things, this team turns into a contender again.

  • They are professional football players and coaches. They achieved the pinnacle of success in their fields. They have watched more of their friends and fellow warriors be dropped, cut, and traded than we will ever imagine. They climbed over the corpses of those players and coaches and continued, knowing it would only last as long as they continued to have success.

If this came as any surprise to Cable and Bevel, then they are even dumber than I thought. I do feel a bit for a player, like Kearse, who’s trade probably came as a surprise. I am ambivalent to slightly happy about Bevel, until I see his replacement. I am absolutely ECSTATIC about Cable being FIRED.

Perhaps...but, when your offense scores 100 points total in the ENTIRE season in the first half of games, it couldn't be much worse. 6.25 per game just isn't going to get it done.

  • If Cable's lines has done well in other organizations, and then sucked in Seattle, I'd think it had something to do with Russ and his inability to be a pocket passer...

with that being said, Cable has never had a top 10 OLINE in both passing and rushing, so it leads me to believe that he's the problem. Can you imagine how good we could be with a running game and Russ with some time?

    Terrell Davis.

The talent is moot. The scheme is so effective you just plug in no name backs and they get 1000 yds. Kubiak would be a huge get. Kubiak as an OC is ace. As a HC okay, but as an OC easily top 10. The only negative he has is health concerns, and may end up only doing it a couple seasons.

Yup. Kubiak has shown he can make a really good Offense out of sub par players on multiple teams. This guy made Matt Schaub passable for a while. RB success across the board at every stop no matter who had the ball.

That is a complete myth. Cables lines have always sucked particularly in pass protection. The effects on Wilson are completely predictable.
