Seems like ESPN will be filling part of the void left by Gruden with our own #3 RW.

Honestly, I don't mind at all. This is a time of the year where players are free to do as they wish. There's really no need to be "focused" at all right now. If he were to come into mini camps out of shape, then I'd say that maybe he's spreading himself out there too much, but I seriously doubt that will happen. A lot of guys are out there partying and toeing the line of getting into off season trouble. I'd much rather see a guy in baseball spring training and dong some tv gigs than putting himself into high risk situations.

Well maybe he will hear about some good information we can glean from some comments he will make being at ESPN, then again who credits ESPN for anything these days ?

You would have thought this would be a great spot for Hass or maybe Manning.

Maybe Russ and Mel can get together for another "too short" discussion.

Maybe work with the new OC and QB coach on his new offense would be a start, and they have Hass as a employee already and Manning is out there.

You know there are rules about that kind of stuff in the CBA. He'll work with the team when it's allowed for him to work with the team.

If they can give a Rookie before he is signed a playbook I am sure they can give their QB the current playbook to study, even if they are not working out, he is still an employee, they just can't have organized activity.

This assumes a few things...first and foremost that this didn't happen. It's not like it is something that would necessarily make the news if it did happen, so it's a pretty huge assumption.

This also assumes that the coaching staff has completed an offensive playbook already, which is not necessarily true.

Even if we can assume correctly that they have a playbook and they've given it to him, who's to say that he doesn't take it with him everywhere he goes and studies it like a madman? That would sound much more like the RW we've seen since he was drafted. I mean when has he ever not been prepared?

At least this venture is football related and specifically the QB position.

I agree with the Hass/Manning should be doing this...
RW has a lot of learning to do and enough on his plate as is...
First the Yankee crap and then this...
I guess the 30 plus million is going to be for a celeb QB.

Russ can't win
In 2016 he was too fat
Now he's too thin.
