The Seahawks are expected to release cornerback Jeremy Lane as they continue their defensive makeover, Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times reports.
That will save Seattle $4.75 million in salary cap space

If we're releasing Sherman, gaining 4.75 for Lane is a no-brainer. If we believe we can replace 25 we sure have to believe we can replace CB4 or 5.

It was a forgone conclusion that J Lane wouldn’t be back with the Hawks next year.

Finally a move made that I agree with. Lane turned into Kelly Jennings 2.0 after SB49.

Lane-During that SB season played his ass off I thought.
However he has never been the same since that horrible injury in the SB that contributed
to losing that game.
It happens ..Some players just never recover the edge they had before getting hurt. I will
remember when he was good but yeah it's time for him to move on
