He's been incredibly uninspiring to date but who knows how he will perform.

At the right money it would be hard to not be OK with it.

Interesting

Mingo began his career with high expectations. However, he failed to live up to the hype of a Top 10 pick with the Cleveland Browns. He was traded to the New England Patriots in 2016 after spending three seasons with the Browns. Mingo won a Super Bowl during his lone season in New England.

The 6-foot-4, 230-pound linebacker signed with the Colts last season. In 16 games (six starts), Mingo produced 47 tackles, two sacks, two pass breakups and three forced fumbles.

Mingo would probably compete for a starting role against second-year linebacker Blair Brown during training camp if he signed with Jacksonville. He would also have a heavy role on special teams.

Convinced this quote is somewhere in Schneider's office..

“Give me your tired, your poor, your former 1st round busts yearning to breathe free."

He would be a Leo DE here, and this year's version of Dion Jordan and Marcus Smith - and nobody is complaining about how those two dice rolls payed off last season. This would be a great low-dough flyer to take, esp. if there was little to no guaranteed money involved. Mingo isn't lacking for ability, he's just been grossly misused as a 3-4 OLB for much of his career (just like Jordan and Smith).
