  • Cards receiver. 6'2 205 ran 4.40 40. Has 86 career receptions and 9 TDs.

He probably has interest in signing here on a 1 year prove it deal thinking he will get more PT.

  • he should be cheap and he is fast, and buried on the depth chart in Az so he could be a low risk pick up.

  • He's very intriguing. I mentioned a couple months ago that I would rather roll the dice on Jaron Brown, who I think is a higher-ceiling receiver, than pay Paul Richardson. He could be this year's Nelson Agholor.

    Hell Yes!!
He's a damned good Receiver, not great, but, with more reps, he could become another really good go to guy for Wilson.
With Graham & Richardson gone, the Seahawks need to be kicking a lot of tires this off-season, and I like JB's heads up play.

  • Eh. Not too impressed. But then again there isn't much on the market and the draft sounds like it's pretty poor at the position. Really though, would it kill this team to go after a big bodied receiver? I think as it stands, Darboh is the biggest at 6'2" 215.

  • The team also has Marcus Johnson acquired in the Bennett deal. They have gotten big at WR quickly.

Until we develop a pass rush that will cause opposing teams to be forced to scheme to defend it we will never be able to consistently take the final step. The interior rush needs improvement. The OLine clearly still needs work.

You're right, very similar athletes. Both are 6'2. Darboh is a little bigger. 215 vs 205 lbs. Brown is a little more fluid. Darboh is better at high pointing the ball.

    Darboh's 40: 4.45
    Brown's 40: 4.40 (ran an unofficial 4.29 at Clemson's Pro Bowl)

    Darboh's broad: 10'3''
    Brown's broad: 10'4''

    Darboh's vertical: 36''
    Brown's vertical: 35.5''

    Darboh's short shuttle: 4.26
    Brown's short shuttle: 4.07

    Darboh's three-cone: 6.82
    Brown's three-cone: 6.81

I believe he is likely going to be at about $2.5-$3 million per year for years. Just like the Dickson and Mingo signings....incentives, low year one base, easily voided after year one.

He is already 28, so maybe just a two year deal

  • Brown, who turned 28 on Jan. 9, also had just one drop on 64 targets last season, making 31 catches on what Pro Football Focus deemed were 32 catchable balls in 2017 when Arizona played much of the year without regular starting quarterback Carson Palmer.

  • Very good signing.

The Seahawks have gotten bigger & more physical at the receiver spot without having to bring in plodders to do it. Which is the usual trade-off on the cheap. Jaron Brown has deep speed, but also plays bigger than his actual listed size.

He plays like he is 6-3 220. The Seahawks whiff a lot with their offensive pickups, but I think they got this one right.

I like the WR & TE group now, despite the losses of Graham & Richardson.

    Baldwin
    Brown
    Lockett

    Vannett
    Dickson

That isn't bad at all, Russell can work with that.

Now improve the O-Line, and get a RB in the draft.

Very blue collar, I like this group of guys. A little bit worry about Lockett's speed though.
