I like it. Probably low $ w/incentives. He's pretty damn good in the red zone. Vet presence, IF he doesn't whine and moan, could be a nice addition. If he doesn't buy in, PC will send him packin.

I'm probably in the minority, but I'm not thrilled by this. We have been burned too many times by free agent receivers in the past.

I do hope I'm proven wrong though.

Well, we needed another receiver to compete with Darboh and Brown. Marshall gives them more physicality, red zone potential, and veteran savvy. This is a good thing if he's healthy.

Max value of $2million with incentives. One year deal

Will be interesting to see with breakdown but guessing more like $1million base salary and playing and result incentives

Totally fine with that

Contracts in the $2million area are totally fine to me. Just don't see it moving the needle on "getting burned"

$8million for unknowns / former good players worries me a whole lot more

Low risk, too. Happy with the added competition, which was needed at WR.

If Marshall is healthy . . .
Baldwin (X/Y)
Lockett (X/Y/Z)
Marshall (Z)
Brown (X/Z)
Darboh (Z)
Potential 6th WR (Johnson, Moore, Stringfellow, McEvoy, Grayson, Reynolds, or Scott)

Good point, and I had commented before knowing the contact details.

That actually doesn’t look bad on paper.

...and the crowd goes mild.

In all seriousness, not thrilled but another potentially decent body in the mix. As long as his name value doesn't impede the progress of the likes of Darboh etc I'm fine with it.

Glad it's not Bryant also.

I like this signing. Guy still knows how to use his size to box out in the red zone. No damage done if he doesn't work out.
