That didn't take long.

Ifedi is a player with technique issues. If all intentions are for him to be the frontrunner for the starting RT, he should take every single rep there to help him hone his technique. This tells me they are already having 2nd thoughts and could move him back to Guard if Battle can show just a little something at RT.

1 bad game in the pre-season and he will be moved to Guard imo. Similarly what ended up happening to Britt.

Coach Solari indicated playing Ifedi at RG was only a look see situation and an injury contingency experiment.

:34853_doh: 4 days in and every move is some kind of a definitive statement of player quality? :34853_doh:

Okay, here is the deal. Ifedi is not some new player we haven't seen in the NFL yet, like say Penny, or Griffin. He has been on this team for several years. In each one of those years he looked horrid, one could say that he was the worst lineman on the team last year. That is a pretty large indicative of his quality. He is a bad player until he is able to prove otherwise.

Whatever talents Ifedi may possess just hasn't translated onto the field. Time to push this kid hard or let him go IMO.

Hopefully the latter!

Lets be sure to ignore Bob Condotta's positive recognition of Isaiah Battle. It is just so hard to recognize anything positive from a tweet. And please avoid any references to the whole of what an offensive line coach might say. That would only rekindle another round of "coach speech" dismissals.

Junkies of ridicule unite. Nominations for ridicule are now open for 2018.

:34853_doh: Such a waste of an informative tweet.

He's been on the team for two years. Several is more than two.

Unless we're going to say Penny has been on the roster for a year, then we can shift everything to the right.

Positive recognition of Battle? Hate to break it to you, but Battle is awful too. The fact that he's on the field for whatever reason is no positive thing.

Not sure about how bad Battle is, but I see nothing positive about him in that tweet. He was tried there but nothing about how he did or possible improvements that I can see?? Jville, would you please show us all this positivity about Battle in that tweet for those of us that read the actual words written? :?:

So we have a nomination of Isaiah Battle for a target for ridicule. What about Bob Condotta? He is also identified by the tweet.

What we have is a fan looking for any positivity out of a tweet where there is none. Hard to get psyched about a guy that got drafted and then thrown on the Rams practice squad before being cut and then off to KC where he got,,,,,,,cut again and now he's here. Has Battle even played a regular season down in the NFL? Solari was just taking a look for injury insurance reasons and nothing more. As bad as Ifedi is, if Isiah Battle is truly competing with him for the RT position, we are in much worse shape than we originally thought.

It is highly unlikely that Isiah Battle will even make the team, yet play.

With Brown locked up for a few years, I don't know why Fant isn't being groomed as our future RT. He looked relatively good before his injury- he came a long way in a short period of time.

The fact that coaches want to get a "really good look" at a player with the first team offensive line is typically a positive indication for that player.

And if people were to learn to read beyond Twitter, they would have seen this positive review of Battle in Condotta's full published analysis of that day of practice:

As for Battle, he had some nice moments in the pass rush drills Monday and his size, well, stands out — at 6-7, he is the tallest of Seattle’s offensive lineman. During one drill Battle proved a too-imposing object for a blitzing Shaquem Griffin to get around, with Battle easily standing his ground and giving hand gesture appearing to let Griffin know about it afterward.

Once again, the moral of the story is learn to read before you embarrass yourself by jumping to conclusions and attacking other posters with more knowledge than you.
