"Rashaad Penny, the Seahawks’ first pick in the 2018 NFL draft, suffered a hand injury that includes a broken finger in practice on Monday, a source confirmed to the Seattle Times, and while it was unclear how long he will be out, it’s expected he will miss a little bit of time. Seahawks coach Pete Carroll is expected to meet the media on Wednesday and clarify the injury."

How much of a setback is this? Players play all the time with broken fingers.

Broken finger can have multiple levels of severity.

Hopefully it’s of the minor variation.

If no surgical procedures were required, he should be good to go soon.

No need to push him. Carson, Davis, & McKissic can handle the job come week 1. Let him get right.

Don't play Carson in pre-season week 2. I want to see a lot of Davis, Holmes, & McKissic.

Start Carson for the 3rd pre-season game, and don't play him in the 4th and final pre-season game.

He's on his way to Philly to have surgery Wednesday morning, Hope all goes well.

UPDATE 1:06 a.m. ET: Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network adds that Penny is on his way to Philadelphia to have surgery on the finger Wednesday morning. He could be out 3-4 weeks, which brings his availability for Week 1 into question.

Hand injury that includes broken figure makes it sound like there could be more going on. He also flew out to Philadelphia for treatment. Do not need an out of state specialist for your basic broken finger.

Oof, hope he heals up. If Prosise and Penny are no go for the start of the season, we might have to sign another RB, right?

Damn. I would play it safe, and hold him out until week 3 against Dallas as long as Carson is playing well. I do not want any setbacks.

This is seriously disappointing to me. Let’s hope this injury healing time is accurate at 3-4weeks. The surgery upcoming as indicated in the reports causes me concern.

Meanwhile I want to see more of Davisand McKissic. It’s now or never forProsise.

You must have stayed in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Lol. Of course he needs surgery to repair it. How else would you predict it?

Unbelievable.
