I know I'll catch heat for this, but....

I cant stand him, wish we would trade him, have talked mad trash about him, but....... this defense needs Earl Thomas.

No question what so ever. Earl Thomas and Bobby Wagner have always been the two most important players on this defense and that still holds true. No reason you should catch any heat for it.

Earl Thomas was an important component, for sure —- but his dedication to the game and antics are not worth put up with, especially to the tune of the 75+ Million he wants. Time to move on.

Can you name an organization who will pay Earl what he wants? If there are none to be found....sorry Earl....put up or shut up!!

Earl Thomas has been the heartbeat of the defense. It would be nice to get him back.

Well so far, the defense looks like utter crap without him.

Apparently, no Bennett, no Kam, and no Thomas make a big difference.

Can Earl play anywhere on either of the lines ?

Earl can cover enough ground you can role your second safety up to help with the run game so in a way he can play DL. No help on the OL

This is true, but y'all who are saying this are missing the fact that the run D was also really bad. Rivers didn't have to do much at all. Bennett will low-key be a guy we really miss.

The problem won't be solved with ET . This is a D-line problem it was getting gashed over and over Earl won't change that.

Yes. When Richardson got here, he said it's pretty much freelance rushing, different than his previous system which was very assignment orientated. Just hearsay but I can't help but wonder

This PRESEASON game is exactly the same with or w/o Earl.

Exactly, because he wouldn’t have played even if he was in camp.
But.... this game showed why you need him on the field come regular season.

Also, we do have to play Rivers in the regular season... I get we've struggled against him, but that doesn't make it okay.
