I didn't even know Punter of the Week was a thing.

Is it sad Dickson is quickly becoming one of the players I look most forward to watching?

They need to name the award after him, because he’s going to win it weekly.

Already the best punter in the league? It’s only preseason, so we are probably getting ahead of ourselves, but you have to like what we have seen so far from the rookie.

Preseason Punter of the Week, though.

Punting and kicking in the preseason are a lot more indicative of regular season ability and success, so this bodes well.

I'm legitimately thrilled about this guy and what he'll mean for this teams success going forward.

Legitimate question on hang time - does Dallas' stadium negate Dickson's booming kicks as there's a dirty great tv screen hanging from the ceiling? Do other roofed stadiums need to be accounted for? Is the returner in Denver just going to take Opening Day off?

5 seconds of air time suggests Dickson's kicks are up near the ceiling in most domes.

(Yes, I know this year's matchup is in Seattle, but one punter has already managed to hit that screen since it was installed, and the coffee has kicked in here.)

He will just bend it around the screen.

I didnt watch the whole game but the one punt I saw from Dickson looked like the returner was watching the ball do circles in the air. I have a feeling he's gonna cause quite a few muffed punts.

Good point.

Lets hope the coaches don’t start instructing their returners to just don’t try to catch the balls. Might be safest to just don’t lineup one

Cut him. Ryan will make this team for some unknown reason.

What's Dickson going to do, back up the other team to make the opposing offense's drive that much longer and take that much more time off the clock wearing down our defense? No thanks.

Ok, got my negatively out of the system. Go Hawks!

That's just nasty. That would allow most DLmen to be able to get down and make a play on the returner by the time he caught the ball.
