Wilson, who has too often been left running for his life the last few seasons, wasn’t sacked and said, “I had all day today.”

Wilson has been sacked just twice in 13 possessions in the preseason and while the preseason is the preseason, Wilson said he thinks it’s meaningful.

“Today was an exciting day and we’ll just continue to show that the line is getting better and better,” Wilson said.

I thought they look real good against a though defensive front, even Ifedi looked solid.

That line last night was night and day compared to last year, I can't even remember the last time I saw a push like that up front-it's amazing what a bit of proper coaching can do.

Perhaps a thank you is in order to Mike Solari??

Agree! Although a bit early for celebration, it is worth noting we are seeing a whole different mentality and discipline of oline work here with Solari replacing Fable. I for one hope like hell this continues into "real games" football.

Also Schotty mixing up the play calls and having a running game, throwing a screen or 2 is helping keep the D far more off balance than they could ever be last year.

Agree that is awesome. I can’t believe nobody thought about this over the past few years :sarcasm_off:

Pete Carroll was true to his word.

George Fant led all offensive players in the number of snaps he played on friday night with 43 offensive snaps. This conversion project is clearly making a come back from a serious injury while proving all of his doubters and critics wrong.

George Fant is writing the kind of story about a process that inspires the rest of us.

Fant looked very natural at RT. While he still has work to do on his run blocking and clearly is not as physical or explosive as he was pre-injury, his pass protection looked solid on the right side.

Ifedi played maybe his best game. He was battling in pass pro, and while it wasn’t always pretty, he got it done.

Fluker was a little sloppy and allowed some pressures, including an ugly one that could have been called a hold and resulted in a rushed throw and incompletion by Wilson on 3rd down.

Why do you think Wilson was 11/21 while the line was great?

(Not trying to be a negative nancy, just genuinely curious)

Dude...I'm loving what I'm seeing in those clips...I really hope the O-Line can be consistent with their smashmouth style of play. It's really exciting and refreshing to see them being so dominant like that!

They were much better. There were still times when Russ had to throw it away to avoid a sack—which is normal. He also had at least one throw I suspect he’d like back. Just a smidge further and it would have been a big completion. And there were some the receivers missed on.

All in all, the o is shaping up very nicely.

Ifedi seemed to play well from my single viewing of the game. Obviously, PFF’s analays is not as glowing about the OL as a whole if the highest graded lineman is slightly below average.

It’s going to take a lot more games for Wilson to trust his line and get comfortable. Or maybe Wilson isn’t a top 5 QB. We shall see.

Hard to tell without the All 22 but my guess is mostly guys not getting open, either due to inferior talent or playcalling (keep in mind Doug and Tyler weren't playing and the Vikings were playing all their starting DBs and LBs). A few inaccurate throws too.

Might have something to do with this:

[tweet]https://twitter.com/SeahawksMachine/status/1033458708272041984[/tweet]

Seems to imply that he's getting rid of the ball quicker. Matches what I've seen with my eyes. He uses checkdowns now. Schotty is breaking him of some bad habits.

It’s Amazing what happens with competent coaching.

If Solari proves his worth, can we finally rid the narrative that the OL players, "suck"?
