Not quite sure why we'd trade a WR for a TE, but I hope it works out. Anyone know anything about him to know if this was a worthy trade?

Cashing out on a surplus of wide receivers for an area of need at tight end. :2thumbs: Brilliant!

Think Marcel Reece. UW receiver that had WR test times, but is also 250 pounds. Reece turned FB i the NFL, but also lined up all over. I hope that's the plan here.

They have signaled a preference for versatile tight ends that can line up in multiple spots for some time now. Darrell Daniels fits along with Dickson, Vannett and Dissly. If they do indeed carry 4 tight ends, I'll be elated. Competition between the four of them will take care of their roles.

Dickson IR designated to return me thinks, this just keeps our hand flush at TE I think. Also we may have released the WR anyway, so getting something for what would have been nothing anyway.

Daniels scored a TD against us in the preseason. He’s a move TE. Pretty good blocker & receiver. Has played fullback and in the slot. He’s similar to Dickson but more raw.

Yep. Lines up at FB, move TE, probably slot and out wide.

This is exactly what we need. To be able to consolidate needs into a 6'3 250 pounder that has run a 4.4 is exciting. Hope it works out...

Little tall for just a FB but maybe that's the plan, a lot of Reese characteristics here. Plus you can line him up as a FB and then move him to a two TE set as well. Intriguing pick up.

But there is a tweet from Dickson saying he is ready to go that is just above this thread?
