He is a few years too late for that, but OK.

If only he had applied this philosophy to everyone in the org, including coaches, we would have taken better advantage of the years we had a clear talent advantage vs the rest of the NFL.

Right now, we are middle of the road on talent, if that. So yeah, keep competing but it is the talent + skill differential that wins. I would submit that if the mandate from the shoes holds true, we should probably compete in trying to assure we have the best possible GM too.
