It’s an interesting move. Johnson had a very quiet Week 1. Hope this opens up playing time for Naz Jones and Poona Ford.

They cut the old guy to keep from losing their young guys.

It may appear to be an odd choice for some, but it was the right move.

Johnson will probably re-sign back with the Seahawks in the next couple weeks.

Interesting. Jones and Ford were not on the active roster last week. One should be available this week.

I wonder who will start on run downs since Johnson was a starter. I would think it would be Stephen or Jones(If he’s even on the active roster).

They have/had a surplus of defensive tackles.

Dion Jordan participated in a full practice on Friday. So his presumed increase of snaps along with Johnson's departure should free up to some degree more interior pass rush opportunities for Quinton Jefferson and possibly Rasheem Green among others.

Johnson didn't get anything done against the Broncos anyway. Might as well try out Jones and/or Ford, plus we needed Johnson's spot to bring in injury subs.

He's been pretty invisible for a guy of his size.
