OK was waiting for the regular link but been fuming since I heard it so gave up...……

I only listened once so no real quotes in the below just attributing it to PC

Here is what I heard that has me somewhat frustrated

Per PC we tried to hit the long ball and then he goes on to say that Chicago was sitting back and we knew it would be hard but we kept doing the same crap over and over again despite them playing against this...……

Like seriously? Am I hearing this right? We had a gameplan, it didn't work so we kept doing it over and over again

Is that coaching?

Then later on the Carson / Penny thing -- Penny lost 8lbs in a week!!!!

How much did he eat when out with the hand injury?

At least PC agrees that he made a mistake " I was off on the thing I said about Chris (Carson) about (him being gassed from helping with special teams as well)"

Then finally comes what I noted in the gameday forum yesterday. Leaning on the garbage stats like it was a positive

PC states that later in the game we got flow. If this is when Chicago started playing prevent and we ate clock because they let us yeah then sure we got flow. We flowed right into a Loss...….

I am hearing absolutely zero remorse for sticking to a flawed game plan nor any plans on maybe thinking differently going forward

They say the very definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and over expecting different results.

This is one insane team.

Yeah, people do say that. They're completely wrong though.

^ Eh, the dictionary people, courts, and psychologists don't have more authority over definitions than common usage.

People should listen to the interview even though it is frustrating. It did shed light on a few of the mysteries over the weekend (for better or worse).

1) Timeout (non)controversy
The timeout was due to poor alignment. Russ was upset about the timeout call because he thought he could get them aligned with 10 seconds left. It's not a symptom of some larger thing, just Russ being competitive and hating to burn an important timeout.

2) Carson's usage
Pete wanted to get Penny going anyway and didn't realize how many snaps Carson was not taking on special teams. He saw what he was looking to see as a result in Carson being winded.

3) Overall 3rd quarter playcalling
They saw at half-time that the defense was taking away the short field but there were opportunities to take deep shots against single coverage, so Pete told them to take those shots.

But aside from that particular incorrect saying, that isn't usually what people mean when they refer to someone or something as insane.

2) Pete wanted to get Christian Michael going...
2) Pete wanted to get Alex Collins going....
2) Pete wanted to get Eddie Lacy going....
2) Pete wanted to get Chris Carson going (and actually did)
2) Pete wanted to get Penny going (after saying Carson won the job).

Pete needs to butt the hell out of the offense or retire. :177692: :141847_bnono:

Make no mistake, this is Pete's offense.
Until the 4th quarter, then it's Russ's offense.
For the first three quarters, Russell looks like a border collie trapped in an apartment.

Might as well trade for Sam Darnold in a first-round pick if you're not going to open up this offense.

Pete’s comments about Carson being winded are an absolute joke. He said he looked over and thought he was winded. Maybe you should go over and talk to him yourself. I thought Pete was a players coach, guess not. This is just more proof that Pete has lost the connection with his players and needs to retire. I cannot believe he actually said what he did. It just makes him look more like a disconnected coach than ever.

Well, you know what they say. The definition of calamity is when you go to the store intending to buy steak for dinner but when you get there you notice clams are on sale so you get those instead. :p

I somehow feel dumber. Considering the current state of my mind, that's hard to do. :p

If the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results, then how does practice makes perfect happen? :les:

Practice doesn't make perfect. Practice makes permanent.

Pete sounded a little humbled imo! He's also sounds like time is passing by. Poor decision making!
