His contract was up and likely the group wanted to go younger and fresher. CEO's move around all the time in business so its not a big surprise. Doesn't sound like there were any big issues.

Looks like it will be a rather seamless transition. Chuch Arnold knows everyone as he has worked his way up thru the Seahawk organization since the nineties. Something of a captive Seahawks sales and marketing loyalist.

His boss, Chris McGowan will be promoted to VSE Chief Executive Officer and is the influential overseer I find of greater interest. McGowan is one to keep an eye on with his hockey background and commitment to Portland.

McGowan will retain his current responsibilities as president and CEO of the Portland Trail Blazers and Rose Quarter. [urltargetblank]http://sports.mynorthwest.com/524755/seahawks-peter-mcloughlin/[/urltargetblank]

pmedic,

I saw this right after I posted on the same thing. Sorry about that, feel free to lock mine or take it down. I'll have to look over these threads closer before posting a new one. Again, sorry about the duplication.

Who was the individual over player personnel that was so valuable in Pete's early years that left us? Didn't he go to Green Bay or something like that? I remember a comment on here somewhere long ago that our draft hasn't been the same since he left.
