Another day, another interesting read from PFF:

DL: (wk 3)
Hawks #32
Girls #20
Bears #3
Bronco #12
Rams #1
Cardinals.#22

OL: wk 3
Hawks #31
Girls #11
Bears #7
Bronco #2
Rams #1
Cardinals.#32

So last week our #32 ranked DL matched against Gurls #11 ranked OL. Our #32 OL vs their #20 DL.

This week our #31 ranked OL vs Card’s #22 DL, our #32 DL vs their #32 OL .... lousy vs no good?

PFF is a $*** website.

The Hawks had five sacks in the game. They gave up 13 points and 303 total yards.

The Falcons had one sack. They gave up 43 points and 524 total yards.

But the Falcons D Line out played the Hawks? Mkay.

Seahawks might have the best back end defense in the NFL though, especially when Wright returns. ET is having his best year, McDougald is a clear upgrade from Kam, Shaquill has stepped up big time, Wagner is the best MLB in football, and Kendricks is no slouch at all.

Seahawks rarely do well in PFF ratings. we apparently win games with smoke and mirrors. Wilson is always a bad QB. Our WR's suck other than Baldwin. We have no OL or DL and our corners never get good ratings. But somehow we don't finish 2-14 every year.

Apparently the sum of our crappy parts turns into something decent every year.

This is not true. Our corners do fine, they just aren't top ten. Sherm is usually 85+, Wagz was their best LB last year, Earl gets 85+, Kam was in the 90s these past few years, they're one of the few places that gives KJ the love he deserves, Wilson is consistently in the top 6 of QBs, and I could go on.

Our run D has been awful outside the bears game and the only game we got consistent pressure was against Dallas. Remember we had line one or two total pressures on Keenum in Denver.

Our OL’s ranking may have something to do with Carson and Penny have gotten only 0.4 and 0.7 yards respectively before first contact. Our OL couldn’t push opposing DL enough on run plays and could hold long enough to enable Russ making more reads on pass plays.

OK 0.4 or 0.7 yards were far cry from DL catching our backs before line of scrimmages, but still.

Carson’s injury could be result of lacking open lanes?
