Pre-game at centurylink club section

Hey everyone,
New to the forum and will be going to my first Seattle game on 11/4. Have a few questions if you don’t mind.

1. The game on 11/4 is the 2nd set of games for the nfl that day and I know I get club access 3 hrs before game time. Should I get there then and watch other games on Sunday ticket somewhere in club section or is there someplace outside of stadium that would be better? Where in the club is a good place?

2. I think I got my club seats at under face but the tix were sent to mobile and doesn’t have that info. Anyone know what’s face value for club210?

3. First time in Seattle... anyone recommend any good places to visit.? I’ll be staying at Marriott waterfront fri-Monday. I like steakhouses and line to gamble. Black jack and Poker casinos that you would recommend? Space needle worth a visit?

I swear by Metropolitan Grill. Great steaks, classic steakhouse aesthetic without being too white glove or stuffy and a good location to see and be seen - RW drops in occasionally after games.

Some prefer El Gaucho - also a very worthy place but with a different jazzier and fancier vibe to it.

Maybe go to both and report back?

For gambling there are casinos outside of the city - Snohomish Casino is about 45 minutes from Downtown Seattle in Issaquah. They do have an hourly shuttle bus that picks up at the Convention Center at 7th and Pike (the pickup is within the convention center - if you need a pointer once there the friendly concierge team on the ground level will point you in the right direction). There's also Tulalip up north which is about 60-70 minutes away but that's more of an overnight stay since they redid their hotel space with an excellent remodel. There are some smaller ones too here and there but those are the bigguns.

I second the Met steakhouse !

I would pre funk outside the stadium first at one of the many bars near by... Henry's, Showbox, flatstixs etc. If you dont enjoy the vibe you could always head to the stadium.

First off, welcome to .NET.

Steaks downtown the Met as earlier mentioned is hard to beat IMO.

Gambling, to me the easiest thing to do considering you are staying right downtown is to walk on to the Bainbridge Island ferry, (30 minute crossing and most tourists think the ferries are pretty cool), and then take the shuttle to the Clearwater Casino overlooking Agate Pass.

Last time I checked the Casino had a shuttle bus at every ferry arrival between noon and midnight but I would check with them to be sure if that interests you.

Big place, lots of food choices, big hotel, etc.

If you want to watch and HEAR the early games the stadium club would be the best.

Lots of bars downtown that will have early games showing but good luck hearing anything.

Just wanted to clarify because there is some misinformation in here. (I don't mean any offense and I'm not trying to be a jerk, just don't want to steer the guy wrong or confuse him)

I'm pretty sure the casino he's talking about is the Snoqualmie Casino, not the Snohomish Casino (no such thing), and it's in Snoqualmie, not Issaquah (there aren't any casinos in Issaquah). In light traffic, the Snoqualmie Casino is about 30 mins east of Seattle right off of I-90, but there is rarely light traffic so probably closer to 45 minutes.

Probably the biggest casino in the area is the Muckleshoot Casino down in Auburn. It's a similar distance (30-ish miles) but can take significantly longer to get to because of route and traffic.

I'd recommend one of either the Snoqualmie, the Muckleshoot, or the Tulalip. Those are the 3 largest by far and have the most to offer. All the rest are either farther away or smaller and most of them are both.

As far as steakhouses go, I agree both the Met and El Gaucho are very good and I'm sure you'd be very happy with either of those. If you do decide to head east (like to the Snoqualmie Casino for instance), there's a restaurant in downtown Snoqualmie called the Woodman Lodge that is also a very worthy steakhouse. I've had steaks here many times and have never been disappointed. Both the Cowboy Ribeye and the Steak Delmonico rival any steak I've had at either the Met or El Gaucho.

There's also Jak's Grill. Jak's has 3 locations but the only one I've been to is the one in Issaquah. The restaurant is definitely not as upscale/fancy as the other steakhouses mentioned, but their Steaks are arguably just as good and they are significantly less expensive. The down side to that is that makes them very, very busy. They are also first come, first serve (no reservations) so wait times for a table can easily be an hour or more. All I can say is it's worth the wait. There's a reason they're so busy.

Pre game the brand new 13 Coins (in the brand new Embassy Suites building that just got built) right next to the stadium has a really fun vibe/atmosphere. They have a great setup with all the games going and if you want to mingle with lots of other people going to the game it's a good spot.

Steakhouses have been pretty well covered by the others. I don't think I'd suggest anywhere else for Steak than the Met, Jak's, or El Gaucho. I would however say that if you're a seafood person you should get some while in one of the best Seafood city's in America. Specifically if you are into Japanese/sushi there is a place in the international district with no sign but a huge following because it might be the best Japanese food/sushi in the USA. It's called Tsukushinbo. It's a tiny place and extremely popular but absolutely delicious (especially if you get a chance to try their ramen that sells only on Fridays for lunch). They do take reservations for dinner so you can call in ahead of time if you want to limit your wait. If asian/sushi isn't your thing but you still want to try good seafood (in more of a Steakhouse type setting) I'd suggest Salty's on Alki beach in West Seattle or Aqua by El Gaucho on the Seattle waterfront.

Thanks for correcting me. I just know its over there somewhere in the hinterlands. Once you go east of Lake Washington it might as well be NY for me.

Good info here on stuff to do outside the stadium. I second the 13 coins recommendation and also Paseos is a great cuban sandwich joint a short walk south on 1st ave.

As far as the club section goes, 210 offers a great view. Convention all along the club level is to sit unless the people in front of you are standing. If your row is lower than R then you should check the weather reports before the game as it can be very rainy in November here. If it's higher than R you'll be mostly under cover due to the 300 level above unless the wind is blowing sideways which happens occasionally.

Inside the club area there are TVs all over the place set to the RedZone channel, CBS and FOX but a very limited number of tables with chairs. If you want one of those get there right where the gates open, however if you are OK with a standing table then there's no need to rush. Programs will be laying around on tables free for anybody who wants them.

The food options are just OK. If you download the Seahawks app they will deliver to your seat for no charge but it's nothing to rave about. You can go down the steps from your seat to the 100 level and there's a rotating food cart/chef behind the 107/207 area that is probably your best bet.

Another option if you want more of a festive atmosphere is to show up early and go to Touchdown City just south of the stadium in the adjoining convention center area. It's free to enter and they'll be playing the 10am games on TV screens behind live music (of debatable quality) with a MC and performances by SeaGals and the Blue Thunder. That's also where they do the 710 radio show live and there's stuff for kids like face painting, football throwing and sprinting. After Touchdown City you can walk up the staircase in the north corner to enter the Stadium directly from the south.

Awesome stuff guys I really appreciate it.

So I know someone said that the Club plays a lot of RedZone channel during the earlier games. Does the Club have Directv and is playing all the different games from around the league? Am I right to say that the club is open 3 hrs before the game, but seat access is at the 2 hour mark like everyone else? Thanks

I will definitely look into that link on the casinos and take all the info you all gave on that into consideration thanks so much.

El Gaucho is olny about a 10 min walk from the waterfront marriott so will definitely do that. Maybe take a nice walk to the game (About 27 min) and then hit the Grill which appears to be the halfway point between the hotel and the stadium.

Do you guys have uber? how will do they run before and after games? I guess if I get to stadium three hours ahead it should be no problem. Last year in Jacksonville I actually took a water taxi to the stadium that was sick. is there anything like that on the waterfront?

Yeah I was on Google Maps all night lol. I am ubering from airport to Seattle Waterfront Marriott. It seems that its only a 10 min walk to Coleman Pier (Pier 52) where I can take a ferry for only 8.50 round trip to the casino. There should be a free shuttle service waiting at the other end! Can't beat that. They even have 3 dollar blackjack. I'm watching this show called, "The Killling" it takes place in downtown seattle and they use a casino that you get there by ferry... this must be the one lol. I'm almost scared to go now because in the show the owners of the casino are no joke lol

No DirecTV in the club level. It's the same panels and broadcasts as you'll find in the 100 and 300 concourses, with something like 1/3 tuned to the CBS game, 1/3 tuned to the FOX game, and 1/3 tuned to the RedZone channel. The main advantage of the club level is there are tons of standing tables and a decent number of tables with chairs that fill up right away. There's also a bar along the back wall with plenty of bartenders. I can't speak much to the wine lounges as that's not really my thing.

Gate entry is available 3 hours early and I don't see why you couldn't go sit in your seats then but I haven't tried and I'm not sure why you would want to.

Being stuck in Seattle freeway traffic even on a shuttle SUCKS big time, a ferry boat ride that gets there in the same amount of time, every time, YEE HAW!!!

A word of caution about using the ferry though. There are two ferry runs leaving the same dock and they go to way different places.

MAKE SURE YOU GET ON THE RIGHT BOAT!

If not, you will get a very scenic 60 minute boat ride to Bremerton and get to tour the Naval Museum if you want before walking back on the ferry to go back to Seattle. It has happened to many, just pay attention to the PA system and the digital signs and you will be OK.

Every Indian Casino in WA state offers pretty much the same exact things, some just offer more of them than others and the Clearwater Casino is NOT a small casino in any way shape or form and the food choices are awesome especially if you like seafood as the tribe that operates the casino has one of the largest tribal operated seafood companies in the state.

You have made a good choice IMO.

One last thing, when you are all done and back home, please take the time and sit down and report back to us how your trip went, good or bad, we can all learn from it hopefully.

Enjoy your trip out here and see some of the other things that interest tourists if you are a first timer to Seattle and have the time.

This is my first stadium i've been to in awhile that club doesn't have the NFL ticket and is showing all the games. It's all good tough, redzone is really all you need

Yeah man most definitely will write up a whole report for sure, it's the least I can do for all of your help. You guys could even make a section for "out of towners" that helps people that are visiting get the most out of their visit with a casino section, restaurant guide, and things to do... kind of like a fan based trip advisor lol. I'm only going to be there Friday, Sat, and Sunday, so I really have to figure out what I want to do but I like to get used to the area ahead of time and plan stuff out. Currently, my tentative schedule looks like this....

Friday:
Arrive around 10 a.m.
Uber to Marriott Waterfront Hotel and store bags if room not ready
Walk to Pier 52 (10 min walk) and hit the Clearwater Casino
Arrive back around 4 and check in
Walk/Uber to El Gauncho for dinner (12 min walk from hotel)
Chill out in hotel

Saturday:
Space Needle?
Pikes Market
Dinner: Metropolitan Grill

Sunday:
Centurylink Field

I could flip flop Friday/Saturday depending on how we feel after the flight. Figure casino might be the thing to do because may have to wait for room anyway. Anything you feel is a waste or want to add feel free!!

On whatever day you choose to go to Pike Place Market, maybe check out Pike Place Pub (they're in the market) for a tour or tasting if you enjoy beer. They're a local brew pub with some tasty ales and we actually got a keg of their Naughtie Nellie (Blonde Ale) for our wedding.

The Seattle Underground Tour is very popular with tourists.

It is located in the historic Pioneer Square area and if you are interested find them on the internet and see if reservations are needed as summer tours are very busy.
