Is Doug Baldwin really okay to play?

Appreciate his toughness but can’t help but notice he has been a non factor since he got hurt. I think he should probably sit out until he is truly 100%. Seahawks receivers were running free in the Rams secondary and Doug only got one catch for 1 yard. I just think he is struggling because of injury and needs someone to protect him by sitting him down until he’s fully healthy. That injury could linger all season unless he rests it properly.

Tough call. If he's medically cleared, I say get him out there and get him up to speed. NFL players commonly play with crap that would have most of us wheeling around on wheelchairs.

I wouldn't give him 30-40 reps a game, maybe, but he needs to get out there sometime. We'll need him up to speed later in the season, and he won't get up to game speed on the bench.

One of Doug's strengths has been his ability to make sharp cuts, which is what he'll lose with knee problems. Nice to see Lock and Moore stepping up, though. They've filled in nicely so far. Marshall has been disappointing, though.

No his 2018 is shot because they screwed up his recovery during the offseason. They need to low key fire the training staff after this season. Too many preventable injuries occurred during the offseason.

Besides his knee it could be that the Hawks are going with the new guys... bigger--faster--younger. Too bad because Baldwin was the only receiver that could catch Wilson's " wild pitches " and he made a bunch of those. We will see this Sunday how many targets he gets....just one last week.

Welcome back Doug. He had a monster 2nd half in today's game and looked much like himself out there today. Didn't seem his knees were giving him a problem as he was running past DBs all day.

I personally think some of his explosiveness and agility is missing. Looks 80% out there

I won't argue that. He might have been a touch slow on that long ball to the end zone, but Russ overthrew it. They haven't had much chance to get their timing down.

Remember, that was a slow field, too. Other players were having trouble with footing and such.

Doug did fine. Now, an extra week to get ready for the next game, on a fast track in Detroit. Will be a challenge, but it looks a lot more feasible to win there than it did two weeks ago.

It's a rubbish field. All the northern hemisphere rugby nations have terrible fields. Some are just green paint sprayed on top of mud.

Baldwin isn't the same.

It's evident in his route running.

Not sure, if he'll be able to recapture his crispy routes this season.

Coming in and out of brakes while your running and changing directions at a high rate of speed is very difficult if your legs are still banged up.

Oh Russ definitely overthrew it. I guess I also see Baldwin as one of the top receivers in the league, so I truly believe a healthy Baldwin makes an insane catch and manages to get that overthrow

Wembley... the National Stadium of England... is not a "rubbish field"

Of course it is. The weather in England is not conducive to growing a nice lawn, particularly not in the Autumn. National stadium or not, the field is blotchy, with plenty of brown patches and aerating divots. It's not a nice field. The All Blacks play there frequently and we hear all about how bad the field is.

But then my basis for comparison is New Zealand, and our rugby pitches are possibly the best on the planet.

I'd be chuffed if my lawn looked like that.

Kiwi... Your basis of comparison sounds like you just want to talk about New Zealand.

Wembley was redone in the last 5 years. it's an amazing stadium.

The field itself is outstanding. the grass has synthetic blades mixed in and the rotate fields. the weather and use dont factor into it. It looked great on Sunday as well.

Had to chuckle at the idea they only use the sun to grow the grass at Wembley. They use specialist lamps and all manner of tech to keep the field tip top.
