After week 6
OL:
PFF (https://i.pinimg.com/originals/d8/60/5a ... 6a774b.png)
Rams: #1
9ers: #6
Hawks: #28

Football oursider (https://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/ol)
Run blocking
Rams: #1
9ers: #2
Hawks: #17

Rushing: (http://www.espn.com/nfl/statistics/team/_/stat/rushing)
Rams: #1 926 yards 5.1 average
9ers: #4 855 yards 5.1 average
Hawks: #8 757 yards 4.3 average

Run defense: (https://www.profootballfocus.com/news/p ... ter-week-6)
Rams: #12
9ers: #25
Hawks: #15

Here comes the strange part: when both the Hawks and 9ers played the Rams:
1. Hawks vs Rams:
our #17 or 28 ranked OL, #8 ranked rushing, vs Rams' #12 Run defense:
Our backs 32 carries, 190 yards, 5.9 average;

Their #1 OL, #1 Rushing vs Hawks' #15 run defense
Their backs: 30 carries, 155 yards, 5.2 average

2. 9ers vs Rams:
9ers' #2 or #6 ranked OL, #4 rushing vs Rams' #12 run defense:
result: 24 carries, 104 yards, 4.5 average

Rams' #1 OL, #1 rushing vs 9ers' #25 run defense:
result: 35 carries, 146 yards, 4.2 average

I truly think that our team is underrated, and we have a decent chance to beat the Rams when we meet again. Heck, we might even end up #1 in rushing if everyone remains healthy. I also predict the Rams are overrated, no way a #1 OL/Rushing run 35 times to get 146 yards against a #25 run defense.

Straight up run defense yardage wise niners and Seahawks are 16 and 15th I believe. The 49ers run defense has not been bad

We find a way to go 3-2 or better, we're in business for a WC spot down the stretch..................we go 2-3 or worse? Probably not happening.

Agreed, but I am still happy with our improved OL, DB, and RBs.

If our WR corp could step up some, and pass rush improve some. We are in real good position to make a run next season. However, if Christmas would to come early, I'll take a super bowl this season .... so sweet for a supposingly 4 wins or less team.

Does football God also moves in mysterious ways?

For sure. We've seen some promising signs of progress and development out of the Hawks this year. Guys like Flowers, Reed, Clark, Carson, Lockett, Ifedi, Britt, McDougald, Thompson, etc have all played to and even above most expectations.

So even if we don't make the playoffs, I think it shows that Pete and John are again developing the next group of players that just might compete for a SB sooner rather than later.

But again, we need to see what we've seen the past 2-3 weeks for the next month against much better competition.

No doubt about it, but then I am a homer ya know. A Hawks homer first , and a Pete homer second. lol
