What an awesome tribute. Would love to get some of these. Anybody here got connections?

Personally, I think they could have come up with a better design, but it is an awesome gesture.

When I first saw them I thought it had something to do with golf.

Ugh, I hate to admit I too thought of golf at first. The patch could have been designed a bit better overall but that's just being nitpicky. The sentiment is all that matters.

Sorry didn't mean to be negative about it. I am a graphic designer so it's natural for me to look at a design differently than most I guess. Old habits...

If I hear anything I will PM ya.

They didn't exactly have a long time to come up with this, the tribute is what is important, the next example of the teams tribute at home I imagine will be much more thought through.

It was a patch on the Uniform which is much better then a helmet sticker, think of it that way.

Do you think they'll do something more permanent in the future, like what the Bears did?

I don’t know. Halas was the founder/owner and longest-tenured head coach of the Bears (and also a player in their early years). That situation is pretty unique.

The Lions have WCF on their jerseys for William Clay Ford too. I would say the Allen situation is just as unique. I mean, if not for him the Seattle Seahawks would likely not exist.

I'd be all for PGA becoming a permanent jersey addition. Founder and saviour of the modern Seahawks.

As it stands now, I hope they make patched jerseys available in the pro shop.

Yep, this has been brought up multiple times. Would be nice but C-Link has those naming rights for years to come. Unless they do something like “Century Link Field @ Paul Allen Stadium?”

Knowing Paul Allen I'd say it would have been a par 12

Yeah I definitely commented to my coworkers that it looked like we were commemerating the PGA tournament and the flag just looks like the 12th hole is in the background.
