The Cougars employ some late-game heroics to beat Stanford 41-38, thrusting Gardner Minshew into the thick of the Hesiman discussion.

The Huskies meanwhile, suffer a disappointing 12-10 loss to a mediocre Cal team after HC Chris Petersen benched QB Jake Browning mid-game and back-up Jake Haener threw a pick six.

Last week Doug Baldwin did an interview on one of the later shows and said something like "I'm not a fan of that early show, the one with a quarterback and a know it all."

I think it was partially in jest, but it was an easy target for a reason.

Personally, I think he's a decent host until he goes off the rails like when he beat to death his impersonation of a GM with a southern accent. It was horrible. He sucks at it, but kept going on and on as if he was doing a passable accent, while also pigeon-holing GMs as southern idiots. He might of gotten away with it, but he kept doing it over, and over and over. I have nightmares.

His "on the edge" smartass attitude can be funny sometimes, but when arrogance bleeds in, he goes downhill fast.
