Drops Mic.

Mic dropped !

Without Mr Allen, the name Seahawks would be long gone, the team would be in LA.

Without Mr Allen’s hiring of Holmgren and Carroll, we could be another York’s 49ers, 7HCs in 15 years.

-- If you are just talking about Greatest "Seahawk", in the sense of being good players, playing here for most of their career, being fan favorites, having memorable plays, then all these lists are valid. However, if you mean just the greatest football players to ever play for the Seahawks for the predominance of their careers, I really feel the "Mount Rushmore" is pretty easy.

Walter Jones, greatest left tackle to ever play the game. Size, quicks, run and pass block. He had no equal, and Ogden was the only one close.

Bobby Wagner, despite stiff competition from the likes of Chancellor, Thomas and Sherman, Wagner will go down as the best football player on this team during their Super Bowl runs. He may get overshadowed national by the likes of Kuechly, but football people know Wags is every bit the linebacker that Luke is.

Kenny Easley, simply put, when Ronnie Lott says you are the best, then you are. At worst second greatest of all time next to only Lott himself. Slightly longer career and more success as a team, and he might be the preeminent Seahawk of all time.

Cortez Kennedy, great defensive tackle, DMVP on a 2-14 team. If he would has strung together a few more "dominant" years, he would be a fixture in greatest DT conversations.

Tez would be the only one that could drop out of this top four, if you wanted argue for the likes of Chancellor, Sherman, Green, Alexander, Warner, Wilson, etc. The best part of this list is that we drafted them all.

I was surprised that players like, the late Dave Brown, Steve Hutchinson, Michael Robinson and Fred Young weren't mentioned.

Plus that Jerry Rice finnished his career as a Seahawk,as well as Frank Ohairris, both hall of famers.

Would have to go with:

1. Walter Jones

2. 'Tez Kennedy

3. Steve Largent

Maybe Walter and Tez are 1a/1b, and it's kind of hard to compare players from different positions, but that's my opinion.

Steve Largent - He played in an era where receivers didn't rack up many yards and touchdowns. He ended his career leading in most of the major receiver categories. He was passed by Jerry Rice decades later.

Walter Jones - One of the best left tackles to ever play the game. His athleticism was insane and he never got called for penalties.

Kenny Easley - Our best safety, and considered one of the two best safeties of his era. Some considered him even better than Ronnie Lott in his prime. Earl Thomas is a good safety for sure, but Easley was even better.

The Mount Rushmore of players is our HOF crew in no particular order:
Largent
Tez
Jones
Easley.

After that you are largely looking at the Carroll back to back NFC Champion teams:
Wilson
Lynch
Thomas
Wagner
Chancellor

Then you can start to throw in a few from Holmgren era:
Alexander
Hutchinson
Hass

I became a Seahawks fan back in the 80’s because of one man: #28 Curt Warner.
