Should we even have had that last play??

Am i alone in thinking that we should likely NOT have had one untimed play after we we false-started on the "one untrimmed play" with no time left on the clock??

I'm happy we had the chance...it just seems that they could have ended it there.

I checked the rule book but could find anything that was consistent with this series of events.

If you are thinking something like a 10 second runoff, it doesn't apply sine the clock wasn't running. A false start is s no play penalty so that play just didn't exist aside from the loss of 5 yards.

It was an untimed down. By rule, no clock runoff
