Great NFL.com article posted on the Seahawks Reddit board outlining how this old is new again Seahawks run-first offense is proving so darn effective. (Dare we say...DOMINANT?)

"Seahawks lead the NFL in rushing yards (1,543), yards per game (154.3) and rushing attempts per game (32.3) nfl.com

It might not be an offence with a Julio Jones, Antonio Brown, Travis Kelce or David Johnson but it's such a varied offence with quality throughout, it really is hard to defend against. Some of it is predictable but then Chris Carson is good enough that you might know he's going to run up the middle and get to him after he's run 3 yards but he's still going to bust through and drag two people with him before he gets his yardage, and then beyond that, Davis and Penny offer variety and take enough heat off Wilson, who can move as good as any QB in the league. Getting a grasp of the running game is hard enough but then you've still got Lockett, Baldwin and Moore to think of, and guys like Vannett and Dickson are solid enough assets that if you leave them alone, they'll punish you.

It's a low key offence and I love that. If I was an opposition team, I might not fear them on first glance of the roster but I'd have a hard time figuring out how to find their weakness.

I'd call the article more minimalistic than "great" — a basic listing of the RBs' current numbers, plus a PC quote about each runner — but it's at least an affirmation that the ground game has shown it can be effective this season.

I think the real strength of the group is that even though each has his personal strengths, all of them can do all of the things you ask RBs to do, so changing RBs does not telegraph what the play might be just on personnel.

We have a pretty dynamic RBBC with a trio of versatile guys, not three specialists.

Some guys skims what we have been saying here all season and gets posed on Reddit. I"ll stick with what we have here. Much better grasp of Football and it's current, like 6 weeks ago we started talking about the Run game and the Line and how it makes a difference, I posted a thread about Old is New again with my Pete Flipping the scales thread that ahs some great comments and references to all time Coaches who used what Pete is doing a lot of now.

That's a great point. Carson remains my favorite (when he's healthy) but they all have the ability to get it done and over 4 quarters can really tire an opposing defense out.
