Pretty good read I thought.

The Seahawks are a perfect example. Coming into this week, Seattle was a 5-5 team that largely confused everyone. They have a running back by committee/"hot hand" situation and an offense that is dedicated to running the ball aggressively. Their top passing weapons are David Moore and Tyler Lockett with Doug Baldwin struggling to put up consistent numbers. Their defense is a post-hype group of no-name guys (aside from Bobby Wagner) who the majority of NFL fans wouldn't recognize.

In other words, this is a lot like the Seahawks of 2011 and 2012, before the Legion of Boom was actually born. The talent might not be the same, but the results are pretty interesting: Seattle has a fringe top-10 defense and the offense leads the NFL in rushing attempts (31.9) and yards (147.1) yards per game.

Oh, and they have an MVP-caliber quarterback in Russell Wilson who can elevate his game if necessary in a shootout.

In other words were doing what they all said we wouldn't do and that we are winning and if we make the playoffs nobody wants to play the we can't figure them out team with a top 10 defense and a MVP type, too Short, Game manager not black enough career back up at QB.

Haha....I think most on .Net have been saying this looks like the 2011 or 2012 teams for the past month. Looks like the National media outlets are finally catching on.

There were plenty of folks around here who were declaring our season over in September. ;)

Like the Parcells quote in the linked article, "The season really starts in December." Now, of course, a team can blow the season apart in Sept/Oct, but the fact is that if a team like ours is still around .500 come Thanksgiving, we're in pretty good shape to at least sneak into the wild card picture, which is what we've done. The article also didn't mention that we've faced 3 or 4 of the best QBs in the league the last few weeks.

We be fine.

Yes, good read, but too early to call this 2012. Then again, RW is a much better QB now in non-stat ways that we do have the potential to really shake things up if we can crack the playoffs.

it's getting interesting that's for sure...

Heck, some people declared it over before the draft.
