Keenan Reynolds was waived earlier, probably gets back to the practice squad.

The roster is only getting more talented in the next two weeks.

Cool for him, but honestly, I'm not sure I see a place for him right now.

Maybe he has some talent on special teams , an area we seem to ALWAYS need to improve.

GO HAWKS!!!

McKissic can be a returner, if needed, right? Is there anything else he brings to special teams?

If I remember correctly, McKissic split snaps between the receivers and running backs in training camp. I would assume he's our 3rd down back / 4 receiver when he's up to speed.

Prosise seems to be our contingency plan in the advent of injury.

Returner/special teams
RB
Receiver

God knows we are going to have injuries, and he is decent in all of these areas. Great guy to have on.

Plus, lockette is too valuable as a receiver as of late to be returning kicks. Let procise/JD return. Procise isnt going to be here long I dont think, so put him in the return position until we dump him. He has that special quick cut ability.

Let him compete. I doubt he gets many touches, but he could be trade material.

I’d much rather see McKissic on jets sweeps than Lockett. I love Lockett, but for some reason to me he looks at his slowest when tasked with it.

McKissic's role will probably be as a wide receiver/pass-catching back. Some of his biggest plays last year were at that position. He likely has more value there than Keenan Reynolds.

C.J. Prosise is probably just being stashed at this point to keep him from going to potential playoff rivals.

And Procise is still on the tram?

Procisly.

They are hoarding RB's since they got bit with "droppin' like flies syndrome" last year.

But that is really a pretty weak insurance policy since once you need him, he's back in the tub. :?:

McKissic will be that human utility tool. 3rd down back, jet sweep specialist, kick returner, gunner. You name it, he can do it. I'd much rather see him in the 3rd down role than Davis. Offers a lot more wiggle and speed.

He's basically what Procise should have been. Of course I still have no idea why Procise is still on the team. Fragile, can't beat out a JAG like Davis for 3rd down role, not a special teamer.

Yeah , I just see zero value in prosise even as insurance is concerned
Anybody wanna do the work to see how many games he's been available over his career here ?
Like 8 I'm guessin and what have we activated him for , 6 maybe

I wish him well for the future but he's just one of those things you have in the closet that you never used but don't wanna toss , so time for some spring cleaning this off season

Maybe they've only hung on cuz JD got hurt

Great to see J.D. back on the squad. As an all-purpose scat back he's probably best lined up outside or in the slot. Hope they use him for both return roles at minimum. 3 TDs last year, maybe he'll help us out down the stretch.

And I still don't see the advantage in keeping Prosise. He's not going to really help a rival and it's almost an oxymoron keeping him as insurance for injury.

Because if we have him that means the Rams, Vikes, GB, Car, NE, whoever....doesn't.
Chess not checkers.
Personnel prevent D, and yes-an insurance policy if need be.

You get it.....chess.....not checkers. :2thumbs:

Interesting thought.....Checkers is more like high scoring that the new age kids want where Chess is more a defensive scheme and when every piece is set up...strike system. Interesting how that works out.

If you really wanted to keep Procise from rivals, just give him some first team reps in practice until he pulls something then IR him.

We may need him for 3 plays in a game tho.

I disagree that Davis is “just a guy”, however he does have limitations, and McKissic is faster than him with better hands and is a better 3rd down receiving back. Totally agree on Prosise who has apparently dropped another spot on the DC. Am wondering why he isn’t responding and competing more. Can’t see him here after the season is up, or even sooner. Then he will go to the Patriots and wake up.

Another benefit is Penny will have more pressure on him to get PT if he doesn’tstep It up. Want to see more of his alleged speed.

Exactly. We let Dwight Freeney walk last year and he immediately got stashed by another team.
