A little fun.

He has 25 now so needs 15 over last 5 games (he has 12 in his last 5, so not unrealistic).

Schedule includes 4 home games, 3 games against teams with a combined 4 wins, and what might be a potential shootout against KC.

So does he do it? Yay or Nay

If Pete let him he could easy. Pete isn't about that life though. Pete is going to run the hell out of the ball, and only use Wilson when he has too. (Against the 9ers x2 & Cardinals he isn't going to throw much.)

The Seahawks will have to get into crazy shootouts with Minny & KC for 40 to become a possibility.

It depends really on luck and performance.

He could have put up 4 vs Panthers.

Like if Madden gotten that last yard (luck).

Or if he ever stops over throwing Baldwin in the EZ (performance)

This is how I would range his next 5 games:

SFO: 2-4
Minn: 2-3
SFO: 2-4
KC: 3-4
ARZ:1-3

Realistically i think he ends up with 35-36. At best with top performance and some luck around 40-43.

He has to average 3 TD's per game. I think that's pretty tough in divisional matchups given the Niners and Cards know him so well. I think he'll get 4 against KC but only 2 in the games against the div rivals. Maybe 3 against the Vikings. That's 13 that puts him at 38.

But more importantly is how many picks he throws in the last 5 games. If it's 2 or less, we will likely win them all.

He didn't throw much against the 9ers as expected (17 times). But found a way to get 4 TD passes, things have certainly gotten interesting here down the stretch.

The running game has turned back to elite status and Russ is a much better QB because of it.

This running game has been huge for this team, let alone making it so Russ doesn't have to carry the team all the time. They don't need Russ throwing 35+ passes in games.

No.

It's also because they don't want shoot outs. Seattles defense isn't built to withstand 40-50 point games.

I would think the KC game will determine whether he gets there or not.

But the real beauty of it is that if we need it, Russ can do it. Any team that wants to shut down our running game like the Panthers did, they had better have an LoB class defensive backfield, or Russ will eat them alive.

What about the one just yesterday?

Anyway, Wilson has thrown 11 TDs in his last 4 games. If he throws 11 in his next 4 games he hits the mark.

Eminently doable.

Wilson is currently on pace for 39 TDs. It’s been a steady pace in passing TDs for almost the entirety of the season to date. 40 TDs in a 16-game season is 2.5 TDs per game. 11 of Wilson’s 12 games have been multi-passing-TD games. The only exception was Arizona, when he just seemed completely off, but the Seahawks won comfortably off the run game. Wilson has thrown at least three TDs in half of the games this season.

40 still seems doable, but unlikely. It’s been done just 13 times in NFL history. Vikings have allowed the fewest passing TDs this season. Arizona has allowed the 6th fewest. Kansas City and the 49ers have allowed a lot of passing TDs.

35 passing TDs seems like a more realistic target. Wilson’s career-high is 34.

35 gives him the franchise career record as well.

29 right now

Minnesota: 3
San Francisco: 2
Kansas City: 4 (definitely going to be a 15 Steelers, 17 Texans shoot out game)
Arizona: 2

40 right on the dot.
