After listening to the callers and thinking about the subject on a plane coming back from the Monday night game between Houston and Tennessee, I came to a conclusion:

This is Carroll’s best coaching year.

While there is certainly some addition by subtraction, I don't think anyone here thought Solari/Schottenheimer/Norton were that much of an upgrade over what we had. So kudos on Coach Carroll for finding some new coaches that could work with his system to get the best out of a rag tag lineup bereft of star power.

Teams like SF have been rebuilding since 2013 and still are nowhere close to playoff contention. Rams took over a decade to get back to the playoffs. Pete and John have done enough to create substantial hope for 2019.
