Hey my fellow Seahawks fans I finally have time to post. It may be to soon to discuss this, but please let's do. I need Chicken soup for the soul

Chiefs Vs Seahawks on the 23th. With the Chiefs pro bowl running back out of the picture, are you fellow 12s liking our chances better against Mahomes & company? Can mahomes carry his team with out much of a run game ?

Part of me doesn't like to look ahead but maybe 11-5 or 10-6 isn't to far off now. Please give me you're thoughts

I liked our chances before they lost Hunt. The Chiefs can't stop the run consistently and teams that run a variation of the Hawks defense have done a reasonable job of containing that offense. The key will be not turning the ball over, if they can do that, they'll have a shot to win at the end.

They still have Spencer Ware. He is pretty good. I don’t think the loss of Hunt shifts the % much one way or the other. They are going to score a lot of points. We will need 30+ to win, which is possible, as their defense sucks.

Running backs @ Clink park doesn't really seem scary.

Maholmes + Hill + Kelcie.

Seattle can't stop the Passing attack.

Had the Chiefs game as a loss before Hunt was let go and still have it as a loss.

I don’t expect a lot of drop off with the exodus of Hunt.

A running game that works well is more than the guy carrying the ball. Obviously that guy matters but he’s only one piece of the machine. I’m guessing the “next man up” mantra will come into play, and the Hawks will have to be firing on all cylinders to pull off a win.

The Seahawks under PC have a tendency to play to the level of their opponent in a lot of circumstances. I don’t see this as a blowout by any means, especially if KJ is healthy.

I agree. I don’t think Hunts release will hurt this offense.

Mahomes has passed 391 times.
Hunt rushed 181 times.

Clearly, the offense revolves around Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, Sammy Wadkins, and Travis Kelce.

Someone also mentioned the team has Ware.

This isn’t the Rams, where they do depend on their run game,

And, they have a great match up this week -The Raiders- to see if this will be an issue.

They also have a chance to clinch home field throughout the playoffs if they win the next 3 games so they may rest some of their players in week 15. In the meantime, we’ll be fighting for our playoff lives so....

Wanted to say thank you to everybody who replied, also I forgot about all the weapons Mahomes has. I hope the ball falls our way that Sunday night for a W. Maybe the chiefs game will resemble the Texans Vs Seahawks game from last year against Watson. A shoot out

If it is a shoot out, it will be a controlled shoot out with the owner of the ball last winning. I expect the ball control will be in a running game favor which is our team.

Yes, passing for them sets up the run and they do have Ware. He shall probably be used when they get the passing game going over the middle of our secondary and that will pull the Linebackers out. Then the spread will give them gaps they can capitolize on. Just my opinion.

I'm not sure playing the Raiders will tell us anything about how good they'll be without Hunt.

Haha....true. But it’ll get tougher when they play the Ravens and Chargers before our game.

Chiefs vs Seahawks: who in Seattle's defense can catch up to Tyreke Hill? Who in the defense can cover Travis Kelce?

All I'm gonna say is we are winning out.
The way this team is playing it does not seem unreasonable to say we can just go ahead and win all the rest of the games this season. KC could locked in for playoff position, and resting key players by the time we play them. We can beat the Rams in LA in the playoffs. Who the hell else is there?

GO HAWKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's going to be a match up nightmare for them as well, chiefs also allow a lot of points per game. There a tremendous offense, but defense has some squeaky wheels
