I think he didn't want to be pressed on just how much a fan he is - like he probably isn't that much but by way of BC and Canada it's who he was aware of and grew up with.

I'm sure he'd readily use Deadpool's bladder as a football prop in some future sequel

He probably knew what reaction he would get for saying he was a fan of another team while surrounded by Chiefs fans.
