Better record this year than with all those "pro bowlers" from last year. Interesting.

Never heard anything bad about Luke Willson. Not sure why he's on that list unless that's every player that is longer longer on the team & out of the playoffs.

It's a dumb tweet.

Richard Sherman played better than any of our corners this year.

Jimmy Graham and Paul Richardson had sixteen touchdowns last year. You can't argue that they did more to hurt the team than help it. Plus they got hurt this year, not bad.

No tight end this year outdid Luke Willson's production significantly.

We're 6-10 last year without Sheldon Richardson.

And yeah, he left out Michael Bennett to bolster his case.

10-6 this year is a testament to Pete's ability to churn, but it's not a knock on any of those players. Which is how that tweet reads. Pete paid for all those guys and they delivered - it just didn't result in a playoff run. Largely because of the kicker.

Fant helped immensely in the run game, Dollar for Dollar who's gonna replace Grahams TD's well lets see Lockett, Carson, Dickson, Davis and Penny did a pretty damn good job, they did it and the team seemed like they were also having fun, oh and Reed and Clark did a nice job of making up for Bennett and Avril as well.

Walsh was bad, but seems like Kickers all over appear less clutch recently.

Don’t think you get the gist of the tweet. Those players left for larger contracts elsewhere and are not in the playoffs. They were replaced with cheaper options and the Seahawks made the playoffs. Not giving those players the money was a smart move clearly.

Bennett was traded so he doesn’t count and thus wasn’t mentioned.

Just because I disagree with you doesn't mean I "don't get the gist of the tweet".

If you want to talk about Seattle wasting money, we should instead be talking about guys like Eddie Lacy, Blair Walsh, and Luke Joeckel. Expensive rentals all, and provided next to nothing for the investment. Something like what, $24m between them all? Walsh was, in fact, the difference between 9-7 and 12-4. It boggles the mind that next to zero annoyance is directed towards those guys.

As for the guys in the tweet...had they been paid and continued to produce at their 2017 level with Chris Carson healthy, it's difficult to imagine we'd be any worse off this year in terms of W-L. Nobody really remembers the solid numbers or tape on how those guys produced in 2017, but it was there. Difference would be that we'd be closer to the cap this year, sure, but that isn't the implication of the tweet. The implication of the tweet is that you win by paying less for people, a tiresome superficial notion that has never really held up on examination. You win with wins.

There wasn't any resentment towards these guys until last December when the season tanked. Just goes to show you how fickle popular opinion is.

We did? I would say that our week 17 performance was our worst winning performance of the year; and worse than some of our losses.

You have read way more into it than anything I meant by posting it. The last line of the original tweet was the key. Any animosity read beyond that is on you. :141847_bnono: I still like you tho MT, and hope you are doing well.

Point being, ANYONE can be replaced, including Richard "The Sniveler" Sherman.
Yes, Sherman was "Hands Down" the best Corner that the Seahawks have ever had, BUT, the price of having him jacking his jaws was just too damned high....."You Ain't In", GREAT!......BYE BYE.

We were already in the playoffs, so what the Cowboys have to study is......V-A-N-I-L-L-A.
DJ Fluker was suited up and could have played, but the possibility of reaggrevating his injury, SO, it would have been absolutely STUPID for Pete to risk him in a meaningless game, AND, as SHITTY as the Seahawks played?, they still WON.....End of story.
Not all wins are pretty, but, ALL WINS are good.
