NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Friday that in the fall, the NFL inquired into possible tampering by the Cowboys regarding the Seahawks' safety, according to sources informed of the situation.

The team cooperated fully and the league found no wrongdoing, per Rapoport.

The solicitation was initiated by one person that did not represent them. There's video evidence of this. This ordeal was purely player conduct and player conduct alone. Not sure why there is an article about an "investigation" of how water is wet.

I agree. Very much seemed like a one sided relationship. Not a Cowboys fan, but really didn't see anything wrong on their part.

You might want to read the article. This investigation is from week 3 when Dallas coaches may have made comments to Earl about him possibly joining the team.

^^^^^^ This

The inquiry into the tampering situation stemmed from comments Dallas coaches might or might not have made to Thomas before the Cowboys-Seahawks game in Week 3.

Earl tampered with his own legacy by doing one of the stupidest things a player has ever done.

The fact anyone would think the NFL would punish the cowboys for anything is what's funny

No, you might want to and apparently you did. It's a waste of time, but ok.
