JS is really good at talking w/o giving up much hard information, draft season is now fully in place.

Not sure we know much more than we did prior to hearing him, but was curious to hear him.

Anyone think his beard makes him look a bit like a dwarf from The Hobbit.

Thanks for posting the link!

Yes, and when he doesn't have the beard, he looks like a hobbit from The Hobbit.

I've seen a few headlines that claim JS said the Seahawks are moving on from Earl Thomas.

Here's the actual quote: "He’s a free agent and he’s going to test free agency, so we’ll see what happens. We have a good relationship with his agents and stuff."

It seems people are running with the fact that John said he hadn't talked to Earl.

What does it matter? That ship has not only sailed, it is sunk 3 miles deep. There is zero chance Earl plays here again, and I'd bet my house on that.

I don't think the Hawks have interest in signing him to a deal, at least for the money he's looking for. HOWEVER if they did decide to offer him $13M a year I can almost guarantee that Earl would come back. Its amazing how the green paper resolves all the previous "disrespect."

Your opinion, just like the writer's opinion, is not a fact. What John actually said is a fact. So even though most of us would agree that it's unlikely Earl is back, we don't not that for a certainty.

You never close a door on a player in public till they are gone, that's not the way this F.O. does business as well. As far as Ownership, glad to hear that we have a transition from Paul to Jody and that it's solid and on track with full support still.

I don't think so, he's just a short square shaped dude, doubt he has big hairy feet; but the beard changes John's appearance, and not to his advantage. JMO, maybe some disagree but a simple observation. Perhaps unfair.

It's an irrelevance b/c he's a good GM. He's got a knack of not telling us very much in his PC's this time of year.

One thing that John Schneider reiterated, again this year, is that it much harder to find good offensive linemen than defensive linemen in spite of league popularity in rotating a lot of defensive linemen.

More high school and college kids want to play on the defensive line than on the offensive line. I wouldn't be surprised to see them look once again for conversions. TE Will Dissly was a successful college conversion. JR Sweezy made the conversion from defense line to offense line at the NFL level.

I'm looking forward to the prospect of another conversion project or two in 2019.

The only way Earl comes back here is if we pay him more than anyone else is offering, a LOT more.................... and I don't think that's even remotely possible.

But until he signs elsewhere, fans will still hold out false hope. Do you really want to risk paying Earl with his injury history and penchant for being a locker room drama queen?

Earl WAS my 2nd favorite Hawk. But after the way he acted, no way in hell he comes back here. And I'm ok with that.
