:hmmmm:

Was kind of wondering about something. Two of our 'breakout' pre-season players didn't do much (or anything) against Cinci. Thinking of Dissly and Ursua. Now, Dissly went out early with a dinged knee, but it sounds like he'll be good to go. It didn't look like Ursua was even there.

I wonder if we have a couple of things planned for these guys now that DK has flashed some big play capability. Get Pitt focused on him and Lockett, maybe some things open up for a TE over the middle, or a shifty slot guy like Ursua.

Pete has been known to be a long game type of guy. Maybe he held back on using Ursua and Dissly for a reason.

Ursua wasn’t active for whatever reason in game 1.

I see what you're saying, and if this is actually true then that's a genius move. Like sleight of hand

This usually has something to do with special teams needs.

Haden might be out, and Watt is banged up for Pissburgh.
Might be the perfect time to come out throwing the ball.

When discussing the receiver group a couple of weeks ago Pete mentioned that other than DK the group was pretty raw and still getting up to speed. Combined with the lack of special teams contributions I expect we will continue to see multiple receivers on the inactive list every week for at least the first half of the season.

We can only dress 46 and WR wasn't a need position so Jennings and Ursua were healthy scratches.

That will likely happen again unless Lockett's sore back is worse than expected. We will have Poona and Hunt inactive for injuries so every interior lineman will be active. LB's and DB's are needed for special teams. You can never have too many pass rushers. So the healthy scratches will come from the RB and WR room. Homer is a core special teamer. So it's amongst Jennings, Ursua and Prosise to sit.
