Always be with someone who will hold you as much as Germain Ifedi.

To have and to HOLD, in thickness of flags from hell, for as long as the drive shall last?

Now THAT is going to be a short and pointless relationship.

Ifedi is what he is.

If anyone is expecting anything better from him at this point, that is on them.

The thing is, if he got hurt we would bring in a 2nd or 3rd string guy and keep a TE or back to help him protect. Or call plays knowing he is not going to hold up long. Maybe that is why we run so much, because we know we cannot depend on the pass blocking.

Either way, he isn't changing so we need to focus on treating him like he was a 4th round pick and not a 1st. Get him help or gameplan with the understanding that he is not going to be reliable 1 v 1.

It's funny..You see teams like the Rams or Cowboys holding all the
time but yet if we do it..Flag after flag just about.

Not just the Hawks, 49ers have had 3 TDs in 2 games called back because of holding, it was pretty obvious in preseason they were going to call it more.

But the OP's post is legit based on what I saw of Rams v. Saints Sunday. Rams RT held Saints LDE all freaking day long and never got called. So why do the Hawks and 9ers get it called all the time (and if SF has had 3 TDs called back, your team is obviously getting it too) but Rams aren't?

I don't think they were all holding but there were a total of 5 tds called back 3 on 9ers 2 on bucks. Refs seem to be calling things tighter for certain teams. Would be interesting to compile a list of refs for those games.

No doubt you've been waiting for just the right moment to post that revolving door graphic. I was hoping for a good insightful caption along with it; the 49er fans on .NET are often so good at telling us Hawk fans the unvarnished objective truth about our players.

See, the thing is that Ifedi has been practically a fixture at tackle for us, when a lot of us WISH there had been a revolving door where Ifedi was concerned, and of course, an upgrade each time.

Oh, you meant it like Ifedi was just a revolving door the DE must pass through (with minimal resistance) on his way to the QB. Sorry, but you got this one totally wrong. Much too flattering to Ifedi. Let me fix the graphic for you:
