Every year under Pete Carroll, the Seattle Seahawks had managed at least one Scorigami game, which Jon Bois defined as “the art of achieving a final score in an NFL game that has never happened before.”

Take a trip through memory lane and you’ll see the evidence of Seattle’s wacky run of Scorigami games, which all ended in wins.

2010: Seahawks 36 Cardinals 18

2011: Seahawks 36 Giants 25

2012: Seahawks 58 Cardinals 0

2013: Seahawks 43 Broncos 8 (Super Bowl champions!)

2014: Seahawks 36 Packers 16

2015: Seahawks 39 Steelers 30

2016: Seahawks 37 49ers 18

2017: Seahawks 46 Colts 18

2018: Seahawks 43 49ers 16

Well 2019 put an end to that run. The Seahawks played 19 games and every final score was one that the NFL had seen before. We only had one game that had legitimate Scorigami potential, and that was the 27-20 win over the Atlanta Falcons. Earlier in the 4th quarter, the Seahawks had a 24-11 lead and a touchdown would’ve made it 31-11 and Scorigami would’ve been in play, but they kicked a field goal and Scorigami disappeared.

This is undeniably the biggest failure of this year’s Seahawks. A team defined by weirdness and unique outcomes played conformist final score football. This has to be a top priority correction heading into the 2020 season.
