Now, I know there's a discussion on the Corona virus

In the lounge, they have 4 pages on this topic, But with what I've been reading in the Seattle Times, ALL sports are being affected in some way, like, canceling the kickoff of every sport club in Seattle, what are the possible implications for the Seahawks?, The Draft?, perspective players coming in for negotiations, or does this discussion not belong here on the main page?

Not only relevant but could have a impact for the next few years. Players and lets be honest many are headline readers and not the sharpest tools in the shed may be scared away as the news says epic center of the virus in the US, those we could have signed go elsewhere, the draft and visits we don't get as much time to evaluate and or interview.

Yeah, that was one of my concerns also.
Guaranteed money can be a big incentive, but the lack of guaranteed safety for the player & their family could far outweigh the payola.
Some of my other curiosities are what will happen if or when this outbreak lingers for too long, what happens to ticket sales & the money for the CAP?--will games have to be watched from home, on TV's or canceled altogether?

The short term implications is the virus will delay everything that's happening in the next 3-4 months.

-free agency
- visits
- the draft
- the CBA being finalized

Long term implications if the virus isn't slowed down and the numbers start decreasing is cancellation of football related activities. OTA's, camp, pre-season and regular season games.

Bottom line, we're in unchartered waters. No one really knows, but as we see from other leagues, it's just gonna all get delayed or cancelled entirely if the virus is a long term issue.

You know what hasn’t been delayed? Are season ticket payments...

I guess not everyone in the boat is sharing the task by taking an oar. :17:

Lol.

If the pandemic kills us all, the last person alive will be a Seahawk billing agent calling you because you're payment wasn't received by the due date.
