There will be a lot of team implementing new systems without the help of OTAs. Even the most ardent Pete critic has to see this as a significant advantage. This team has been doing essentially the same thing for years so a majority of the players won’t need a ton of time to get up to speed. That’s also why it’s important to retain KJ Wright. He’s been a coach on the field and having him in the lineup will help other players on game day.

Teams with new coaches and QB's are going to be hurting this next season, with limited interaction, OTA's and then Summer camp maybe the teams that have a core that is familiar and have implemented a concept and players knowing it will burst out of the gate. Teams that can sign as many of their own guys will be ahead of the curve as well.

Teams transitioning with a large turnover of players will need a lot more time to sync up. This Virus is going to slow down a lot of teams from developing.

We could see one of the largest separations of good teams and bad teams. Maybe time to bet on the over Total wins for consistent programs and bet the under on wins for new programs. Depending on the amount of lost practice time this could also be very hard for rookies to make and impact. Maybe trading our high picks for proven players would be an increasing good move.

I think the closer we get to the draft and the less positive news we hear about progress the more this could be the case.

Better to trade for a known guy that can help the draft unknowns and roll the dice on guys that can't or may not help this year.

However we rarely throw guys into the fire and redshirt guys a lot.
