  • Mike Solari three new starters has to turn this group in a competent unit without a full offseason to work with the players.

    Any other candidates?

I like your choice, probably #1 choice; here's another choice:

Ken Norton Jr., has his work cut out to generate a pass rush, and just generally put a decent D on the field this year. We hear rumblings of scheme adjustments, but hey, it's still the offseason and need schtuff to talk about.

I was thinking Norton a close second I think Solari is a little more important. The Hawks offense has been strong the last two years cannot afford to take a step back.

  • Ken Norton JR needs to go back to coaching Linebackers. Sorry, like the dude but he just isn't DC material.

  • In terms of where we need the most improvement that would point to Norton's defense. I feel our offense did enough to keep up contentious for the W in nearly every game. It was our defense that let us down, and did so too consistently.

Wouldn't it be awesome if our DL/Front 7 earned the name, "The Butt-Hurtt Gang", because they put so many QBs on their butt and hurtt them in the process? We can dream, can't we?

  • Defensive assistant/linebackers coach Aaron Curry.

Can he bring anything to the team, like "do as I say, not as I do."

You know that Curry stops the runs, right?

Truth. He fielded some historically bad defensive units in Oakland. No reason he should've been brought back as a D coordinator here after that debacle.
