Many posters here are worried about the pass rush, rightfully so, but the way the defense is current set up, the strength is now in the second and third levels.
The defensive scheme now with the way the defense is built this offseason is to force teams to throw the ball AFTER the run has been completely stopped!
Carroll is going into this season with the idea that the young bodies in addition to his belief in Collier is the pass rush will come from a young and hungry collective whole rather than a single big name star.
Just wait, they have been freeing cap space to sign a RUN STUFFER(S) not a single pass rusher.
It may not be a sexy name player, but look at the bigger picture!
Why did Seattle go faster at linebacker and trade for Adams, the strength of the defense is at the second and third levels.
Carroll wants to stop the run FIRST, not pass rush, and then force teams to throw between the second and third level where the playmakers are.
You heard it here first!
