I think Pete is C unless you're counting playoffs, because he's 7-9 (1-1 playoffs) 7-9 and 4-4 for 18 wins. I'd say Knox is A and Holmgren is B. Am I close?

Are these for the first 40 regular season games or his first 40 games? Carroll has 42 total games as the Seahawks head coach

By the way, what if we include every coach ever for the team? Are we including the last 3 coaches in this poll, or is it the ones I mentioned, or what? I know Patera had a good record in 1979, I believe he was 9-7 so he could be on the list. Erickson had a pretty close record to Holmgren in his tenure. The only coach who has really sucked is Flores.

Regular season. (left off postseason games by Carroll)

A - Erickson
B - Holmgren
C - Carroll

Just found it interesting how these 3 coaches are all very close to each other with their records through the first 2 1/2 seasons as coach. All 3 struggled on the road as well.
