Not surprising. Let's see what he has. I'm excited about it, really. If he steps up the rest of the year, he's our Nickle if he can stay healthy. It answers some secondary depth questions, might move Trufant to the dime (or off the team) and would shuffle our depth some.

I love how our FO keeps developing guys for depth.

That'll work. He was looking pretty dammed good before he got injured and lost his spot. I have confidence in WT.

Me too. I view this whole thing as a great opportunity for WTIII and Jeremy Lane.

Let's get these suspensions done and over with.

Big time rooting for WTIII to stay on the field. He's got to prove that it was worth it waiting for him through the injuries.

Thurmond has great talent, but I'm concerned about the toll his injuries have taken. I cannot emphasize strongly enough how I hope this will the moment things finally come together for him.

Telling on Trufant.

Thurmond was an excellent cover guy but nowhere near the physical presence of Browner.

Hope he is up to the challenge, as I am sure Fitzgerald will be across from him almost every down.

Hope we are blitzing more to make QBs rush throws

According to Pete's presser:

Thurmond will start on the outside.
Lane will start at Nickle.
DeShawn Shead will be the 4th CB.

Lane is 6' and 190 lbs
Shead is 6'1" and 220 lbs !

Thurmond is probably the smallest corner we have. I've seen him listed everywhere from 5'11" to 6'

This info about Lane starting at nickel deserves it's own thread IMO. Especially because Lane might get torched by these amazing nickel players for the Cards

But seriously, deserves it's own thread.
