Spoiler: a personal ancedote.

The graveyard shift. I work it and sometimes it just wears and tears on you.

Last night is usually my "Monday" (workweek begins Sat), the start of another week.

The prospect of a 'Hawk game for the past 18 weeks has kept me going through grind of the night and by morning when the game was near, it meant work was finally over; time to go home, nap, kiss my wife, and turn on the game.

Tonight was a bit off. The fog outside never lifted and time seemed to stay still. And sure, I was sad another game wasn't awaiting me this morning. And I get to watch the Whiners today.... yay!? (blech). But I came to realize that spending time aching for 'Hawks games that are 7.5 months away would do me no good.

So while I will find another thing to look forward to after my Monday shift, I want to wish the same to my fellows 12's. Do something cool with your Sundays. Our spouses all have to-do lists and projects and fairs and beerfests and hikes and family outings to attend and well you get it.

All the while you can rest assured that the 'Hawks are improving and building and maturing and just plain meshing together. Russell Wilson said, "Let's have a championship offseason." That goes for us 12's too! Thanks for reading.

Go Hawks!

I know football season makes my winters pass quickly. All of a sudden it's the weekend. Spring is coming. Golfing ,fishing, boating. Then it's August
