Macklemore could be standing next to me right now and i'd have no clue who he was. I bet 75% of the stadium (especially those over 40) would be in the same boat.

Even my mom, a Packers fan living in Portland that does't listen to music made in this millennium, knows who Macklemore is. Give me a break, grandpa; 75%? No way.

Ya, probably 75%. I 'Know' who he is, but have no idea what his music sounds like, nor give a rip about him. So, thanks, but I'd pass on that one.

  • Easley should raise the flag. Hasn't since '05, according to that list, and others have done it twice. Way to set the tone.

I thought Macklemore was a kind of fish, so you can add me to that other list.

  • Chris Cornell would be cool down the road, but not for this game.

A former player like Zorn, Largent or Easley would be could, or,a former coach like Mike.

  • I would vote No to the entertainment/artist types of all stripes for a game this big. Make it a former Seahawk.

For one game this year, I would LOUD LOVE to see Cornell sing the National Anthem and the other members of Soundgarden raise the flag.

  • At some point they should set up one of those hologram things they can do now like they had of Tupac.

Imagine how ape s the fans would go if Hendrix or Cobain could be there in hologram form to raise the flag.

  • For this game? Macklemore?? He can do the Titans game. But a home opener on Sunday night against our hated rival? I'd rather have Jeff Chadwick.

Walt, Matt, Holmgren, Shaun, Darrell, Engram, Blades, Largent, Eugene Robinson, Dave Brown, John L, Bobby Joe, who cares. The whole 83 team! Not Macklemore or Mix or anybody from the grunge genre.

Macklemore could be standing next to me right now and i'd have no clue who he was. I bet 75% of the stadium (especially those over 40) would be in the same boat.

Hahaha. No. He's the biggest music star to come out of Seattle in decades and he's about to have his third straight number one. Oh, and he reps the Seahawks constantly, wrote a song about Dave Niehaus, and Russell tweeted last week that the team will play his hit 'Can't hold us' before every 4th quarter.

    He's the perfect guy.

  • Outside of the box idea:

What do you guys think about.... Kevin Calabro? You could show some sweet highlights, and cut in some incredible calls, like this!
